The Pro start units at Crappy Tire are not that bad of a unit actually. Do a hundred or so and they become pretty easy and they are far more reliable than most people think. I still prefer Compustar for their units and I am sure that most of the Canadians here on this site will agree.

In Toronto you can, just the basic install no extra stuff like keyless or bypass. There are at least a million brand here to choose from. Again those who are a little wiser will not make their decision base only on price.
My suggestion of brand, Astroflex, Autostart, and Compustar.

Pro start is not too bad, I get lots of them every year after crappy tire (as forbidden calls it) puts on a sale. I hate it because you will have to deal will bargan cheapo coming in for a couple of weeks or so to get it install. However, I will get a good number of them returning it and buying one of my unit. Tough to earn a living, but you got to it the right way to beat the box store.

www.astroflex.com   The most "flexible" units I have ever installed. Ideal for the control of todays wild installs.

4 programable outputs....for all the needs an installer might have.

pulse befor, after, aux timed, start, accs, ign, light flash, passkey, and ground when armed. ALSO a prograble built in bosch style relay controlled internally.

Posative and negative glowplug input (programable) gas or diesel programable tach setting 1 thru 10 cyl. The BEST tech support in the industry (no waiting on hold for your turn)

The best part.........made in O' Canada
