I have a 791XV that I've just completed installing on my 03 Silverado.  Alarm was functioning properly arm/disarm/chirp/door locks/power window module etc.

I just hooked up the remote start features along with a 555L passlock 2 interface.  I believe I may have inadvertantly tried to use the remote start without letting the passlock module learn the routine.

My remote start functions properly now, but the following things are happening....

My LED is on constantly unless I turn on the key.

The alarm does not chirp on arm or disarm, it only locks and unlocks the doors.

The Windows will roll down with the aux button, but not up when I try to arm the alarm, apparently the alarm is not arming.

I believe it has gone into long tamper mode...Is that a correct assumption?

If so, I am wondering how you get out of long tamper mode, I have seen conflicting explanations on the forum.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

try opening one door the press lock, unlock, lock on your remote

that should take the alarm out of valet mode.
