Does anyone out there have any experience feeding an audio signal from an A/V system into the aux. input on the stock head unit of the vehicle?

Please advise

you cant do it. what you will need to do is add a fm modulator. and right now i know they dont make anything that will interface with that unit yet.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

Check with AAMP. They have an interface that goes between the 9-pin plug on the stock CD and the stock cassette. It has a 3-way switch so you can select : aux1-cassette-aux2. I have one in stock but haven't installed one yet. I worked on an '03 Denali the other day and it had a DIN size 6 disc changer in the top of the center console but I don't know if it had the 9 pin harness.

Good Luck

Must be  a Peripherial component from Aamp.

I'll take a look on their site.

Thanx Chuck

that's for the 00-02 chevys.. the newer ones don't have the nine pin plugs.. they are the data II serial radios now.. EVERYTHING goes thru them.. including the airbags.. whatever you do, dont take this radio out the vehical.. If I replace them, I have put them in the back behind the rear left quarter panels where the factory sub used to go.. and just put the new one in..

lol, i've been at GM dealership. Our AAI-GM12 is for 2003 GM SUV's and trucks. Its the same piece we use for the AAI-GM9 but a different harness. We are basically waiting for our harness to come in. Same concept, the vehicle needs a slave unit like Factory XM, DVD or CD changer. In the future we will be looking into making a stand alone unit. Right now we are designing a product to add an amplifier. Also making an onstar interface when replacing the radio and to uitlize the factory BOSE amp.
