Is it even worth getting components for my rear deck though?  Would sticking with 6"x9" coaxials do the job fine?  That way i could you the extra money on better 6.5" components in the doors.
That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

If you have something fairly clean that makes noise in the back, don't mess with it. Spend your money up front definately. I don't think anyone here would tell ya different..

So having 2-ways in the back would be fine if I have nice speakers up front?  The subwoofers would take them over anyway wouldn't they?

Yes two ways in the back would be fine, and actually nothing in the back would be acceptable too.

Your choice of words about the woofers taking them over concerns me. By this you mean in volume, right? Because a 6x9 should not be playing the same frequencies a sub is playing, there should be a cross over point involved here.

Yea I meant in volume.  Sorry for being vague.  I mean the subwoofers should mask the rears with their volume right?

For the most part.

I have found this to be true with personal experience, although not all sound is lost.

But the subs will cover most of the rear speakers volume wise right?  So 2-ways will be perfectly fine for my use i suppose.
