Has Onstar, fatory alarm and Keyless

Looking at the autopage rs-855lcd to add remotestart and 2 way page.

What do I need to interface with Databus and passkey III?  What bypass is requimended?  I would prefer one that doesnt need my spare key.  Anything else or website info would be apprecated.  Thanks in advance.

Dan, you can use the PKU-GM bypass module from Trilogix. We use this on the 2000 + Grand Prix's and no problems yet witht his module. They're a little pricey $ 70 MSRP but they do the trick and you won't loose a factory key to the remote start. PM for more details.

Jeff,   I used this module on a 04 GP... It worked great. But now after about a year the service security light in the information center comes on everytime you start the car with the key or remote start. Any ideas on why all of a sudden this is doing it..

dtabet2: You can always just buy one of the modules that requires a spare key, and then buy an uncut key and program it yourself using the remote starter. howardkeys.com, hlflake.com, and eBay are places to find PK3 keys----any PK3 key will work.
ziggyb222:
I'm not familiar with that particular module Jeff mentions. At any rate, the "service theft system" message will appear if the car sees two transponder keys at once.
Using the car's light green keysense wire, configure a relay so that the bypass module cannot work when there is a key in the ignition:
86: constant
85: keysense
87: not used
87a and 30: cut the ground-when-running wire that goes to the bypass module; connect the two halves of the wire to 87a and 30; doesn't matter which wire goes where.
To reset the message, turn the key from Off to Run 7 times.
