I'm about to tackle installing a viper 791xv with remote start. I have the 555F bypass is there anything else I need?

Exactly how many relays do I need? I know I need one for:

Remote start.

I want the locks to open when I arm the alarm and if I want to roll windows down don't I need one for that also? Any info is greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry about that. I'm installing a viper 791xv on a 1998 Expedition 4wheel drive.

you want the locks to open when you arm it?
if you want window automation you'll need a control module such as the DEI 530T
Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.

I want the locks to lock when armed and unlock/disarm. And which wires do I hook the 555F to?

Just finished my friend's '97 Expedition a short while ago.
You don't need any extra relays. As described above, you just need window modules if you want to do windows.
--The BLACK/ green second accessory wire is not required for remote start; it just powers the radio and wipers, and you don't want those on during remote start anyway.
--The doorlock wires and door trigger are high up at the BCM above your left foot. Work the power doorlocks back and forth, and you'll hear/feel the BCM clidking---that should help you find it.
--I find it challenging to get the placement of the 555F to work right. I usually just get a 555U, a blank key, and program the key. By the way, don't forget you need two existing good keys to program that 555F.
--Off to the right of your ignition wires, near the bottom of the dash, you'll see an unused gray plug. That's for the trailer brake controller----you'll find parking lights and brake there.
--Above the gas pedal, is a large rubber grommet, suitable for running wires under the hood.
--The WHITE/ pink tach wire is in the large harness, above the driver's left foot, coming in from the firewall. The harness is tight, and there are several WHITE/ pink wires in there. You'll have to test each of them until you get the right one.
--Under the steering column, besides the holes that have screws, you'll see one empty hole. Turn the key to Run, insert a long, thin, pointy tool, and the entire keyswitch slides right out.

Thanks Chris thats sounds like really good info. I'll give a shot when I start. What wires do I need the 555f to connect to? and what do I need to pop out the keyswitch for? I'm sorry if these sound like stupid questions I just want to have everything in order when I start. Thanks again for your patience. I printed your first post and put it with the rest of my info.
