Has anyone bypassed the factory amp in any of these models, or does the can bus control the input, and I'll have to run my own speaker wire to the doors & deck? According to the pin-out at the amp, the output wiring to the speakers out weighs the input wires from the H/U, don't really see how to match them up for the bypass. Any help would be appriciated

you can use the Metra 70-6504 amp bypass harness to get around the amp. right now there is no way to turn on the amp since it is digitally controlled.

remember the good old days when all you had to do is hook up a remote turn-on wire to turn the amps on.

Thanks, that's what I'll do,. Last question, with the metra kit, will I be able to use the existing factory wiring to the speakers, or will I have to run my own speaker wires? I appreciate your help.

YES, the metra harness has a plug for the dash for your radio, has power and ground wires but you need to get an accessory wire in the fuse box, and the plug at the amp has long speaker wires on it so if you wanted to add your own aftermarket amp the wires will reach pretty much anywhere.
