lighs on when trunk opens

I have a '97 T~bird and I want to hook some lights up to the speaker boxes in my trunk, but i want to use the switch that comes on when the trunk is open. anyone know how to reroute the wires or something like that?... im more of a audio guy.... not a big pro on lighting but i like this idea... thanks

You can find either the trunk switch or the light that comes on. You can tap into the wires on the back and hook it up to a relay. And then hook up as many lights as you want to the relay.
If it is just a few lights drawing not much amperage, you could even tap directly into the back of the light already in your trunk.
Got a volt meter? Start testing the leads on the back of the light.
