Well i cant figure this amplifier situation out one bit... someone might be able to help me. Ok heres what i have so far... 2 Sony explod P5W 12 inch 1200 watt peak subs 4ohm resistance opperate at 350 watts rms and single voice coil. Heres where im confused. I have found a few amps that can run 350 watts rms at 4 ohms. Only problem is theyre max out put exceeds what my subs can handle. For instance heres what im currently interested in for an amp

now i dont want to hear GET DIF SUBS cuz i like them and if they do blow up ill just save up to buy another set of a different brand. I just want to know if the peak out put of 3000 watts will be devided by 2 and send 1500 peak to each sub when i turn the volume up. I'll say it again... car stereo makes absolutley no sense to me whatsoever lol

if both subs are single 4 ohm. bridge them to the amp and you get 700 watt rms at 2 ohm.

Ignore max wattage figures, they are not useful here at all. Basically you need an that does 700 watts RMS at 2 ohms or 350 x 2 at 4 ohms in order to match the RMS rating of your subs. RMS by the way is the number that should be used.

The amp you have chosen will work, however I wouldn't recommend it. You might be happier in the long with a better quality amp that produces it's actual rated power, I don't believe the specs on this amp.

Dont worry about over powering the subs. Better to have too much power than too little.

Ive got 2- 2400 watt 1800 rms @1 ohm pushing 6 KSW 10". rms is 250

3 subs per 2400. Each sub is getting 600 rms. Instead of max volume at 35 on the deck its now at 15 with no distortion and extreme clarity. Im also running a 520 to my 3" bullet tweeters and a 520 to my 6x9's. Yes, ive got more volume than most of these schmucks that spend $10,000 on JL. My Street bass SPL is 149.6 and true to life you can here me from 1/2 mile a way

Some poeple hate Boss amps. I don't mind them in fact I run a riot 3000d on my 8 12's. @ 2ohm load. Is it putting out the rms it claims? No it's not, but I am getting a solid 1200 watts out of it. That's what I got with my dmm. It sound pretty good too. Is it up there with JL, JBL, and the like? heck no. But it does do a good job for what I ask it to do. So don't expect 3000wrms out of that amp. You will get a solid 500wrms out of it @ 2ohms.
