I have the same question.  I have an 04 with Bose and plan to install an Alpine cda 9853.  I understand I must replace the entire system, head unit, amp and speakers.  If you find any wiring info I would also appreciate the help.

Hi Z owners,
if you replace the head unit with another one, like the AVIC-D1 the best thing to do is remove the entire system out, and install a aftermarket one. I have 04' Z with the factory bose and removed all of it and did a Alpine setup. A good place to get help and ideas would be to go to My350z.com there are how-tos for removing the stock head unit, locations of the other bose units. Im sure you already got your stereos install since its Dec. already. I just got signed up on here a short time ago and started to search.
* Alpine IVA-D310,
* Alpine NVE-N872A nav,
* Alpine PXA-H701,
* Alpine MRV-F345, MRD-M1005
* Alpine Type-X 10"
