ok....this very well may NOT be the place to post this, but im going to give it a chance anyways. Does anyone know how to remove top speed govenores on newer GM vehichles? Ive been researching online like crazy but i cant seem to find anything? I even got a print out of all the wires on the BCM and i dont really see anyhting which would be adequate. Any sugestions would be greatly appriciated! Thanx

Hopefully I won't get in trouble for this, but one of these may do the trick. http://www.sun-diagnostics.com/catalog/product_detail.asp?GID=123&PID=117&item_id=1037. I don't know if this exact one will do it.

I remember a few years back that using a diagnostic tool that communicated with the vehicle allows you to access options like the one you are asking. Unfortunately these items are not cheap, so maybe taking it to a friendly mechanic might be the best option.

The speed limiter is software, not hardware. You have to reprogram the ECM.. either with a programmer, in-line adapter, or changing the chip.
