I'm planning on putting in a 160amp alternator in my 94 accord.  I need to upgrad the wiring but the "big 3" would need to go through the fuse box on the fire wall and there is no way to fit 1/0 wire into that thing.  not to mention the harness has the + from the alt to the box.  Anyone have any experience with this?  Any help is appreciated.

Why would the wiring need to go through the fuse box? Just run another cable from the alternator directly to the battery, leaving the existing factory wire in tact. Then run an appropriately sized power wire through the fire wall on the passenger side. There is a grommet there that is easily accessed, I know because I drive that carHO alternator wiring upgrade -- posted image.

Sweet, I didn't think of that.  Why the wire through the firewall on the passenger side?  What does that have to do with the alt?  thanks.

I thought you were asking how to run the power wire for the amps to the interior of the car, never mind.HO alternator wiring upgrade -- posted image.
