Installing additional batterie

I am intalling an additional batt in the trunk and am looking for options or recomended wiring methods to up the voltage if possible. Alt is also on the works for future.

parallel is the way you need to wire the + to +,  neg to neg, it will remain 12 volts. series will give you 24 volts and you dont want that. you will get longer play time with the engine not running. spend the money on a higher amp alt.

I never use my radio when the car is off, in this case will Series benefit me? I can use the higher voltage!! My system drops to ten volts as it is with both batts installed in parallel :(

Heh... series =24v....
your car meant to run on 12v.
you do the math! now if you wanted to isolate that battery from what your car is using. then.. that's another story. but.. =) for what you have going on.. you do that and either all your fuses go poof, or all your electronics do.

Ha! Good call, makes sence :)
Ok well, i'm stuck looking for an alt. My car is a mission for a performance alt. I have an 88 Legend and i have had no luck finding anyone that carries any high amp alts :(
