Hey there i have a 02 dodge ram and the keyless entry needs a 820ohm resistor but the only one they have at my local stores is 620ohm but they have all different one that are like 1.4k 1.6 and so one what should i get to be equal to 820 thats required. i know you can do it that way because the 330ohm thats also used can be 330ohm or 1.4k ohm so what should i get in place of the 820ohm.
Thanks

You could try taking two 1.6kohm resistors and connecting them in parallel, which would give you an 800 ohm resistor.
That's only 2% off from your target value, and it's probably within the allowable tolerances for your application.

Usually within 10% will get it.................

Check to see if they have Variable Resistors.........
