Hi,
I will be installing a design tech 23927 remote starter unit on my 97 Honda Accord LX (AT/non VTEC)
What is the color of Ignition 2 and accessory wires?
Two of the wiring diagrams I got off the internet say
Ign2 - None
Acc - Yellow
One I got from design tech site says
Ign2 - Yellow
Acc. WHITE/ black
In the Helms manual, the
Ign2 wire is shown Yellow.
Acc. WHITE/ black
But this is the Helms manual available online. I think its a 94 coupe.
I believe Acc. will be 12V in the RUN and ACC. positions and off in the others.
How do I test Ign2 wire? Also, does this wire need to be OFF when cranking?
Thanks

Ignition wires should be powered in run and crank positions; acc wires should be powered in acc and run positions, and drop out during crank. Just test each wire before you hook it up; and it will go smoothly.
Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.

Ignition (2) : WHT/BLK  IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS

Accessory : YEL  IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS (HEAT/A.C.)

BLUE Tach Wire Also Located In 18 Pin Blue Connector On Top Of Fuse Block In Driver Kick Panel.

Those are the correct wire colors. I used these when I installed mines and it works perfectly. You need to find better sources.

It doesn't matter if the wires conflict from one diagram to another. Use the design-tech diagram because those wires have been tested for use with thier units.

That is True for warranty thru Design Tech...........
But unless you are SURE of each & every wire................METER, METER, METER.
Never depend on ANYONE's Wiring Chart
