my gf's brother has a 2002 Ford Escort ZX2 with 5 speed tranny, and wants a remote start. I was thinking about making a release for the neutral safety switch so that if has to be in neutral, but is there a separate neutral wire that I can connect to and make it easier?
Thanks
Kenny
PS. I warned him the possible consequences of hte r/s, but he still wants it. I will not be held responsible for anything that happens.

You mean your girlfriends brother won't hold you responsible for anything that happens.  If he injures anyone, that person won't be bound by his agreement with you and may very well hold you responsible.

or you could just put one in that is specifically made for manual trannys and do it properly.....  Autostart, Compustar etc make these units.... or you could use DEI's 689M in conjunction with an auto tranny RS unit.....

dont be a muffin head, do it properly and safely.....
