Anyone know what the brown 2nd Accessory wire feeds on a 2003 Silverado 1500HD?  I'm putting in a remote start (Crimestoppers RS-900V) and the wiring list shows the second Acc but the T-harness I have does not bring out the brown wire.  I'm also using the programmable output for the second ignition and am using the negative output that could drive a relay to control the GMSL interface module.  If I need the second Acc any thought on how I could hook it up using a relay from the remote start acc output without the relay being energized the entire time the truck is running?

GMSL module works great by the way- does both driver 1 and driver 2 (using the trunk button on the remote start to trigger the 2nd driver input to the GMSL).

This is my first remote start so thanks for the help.

Thanks

Most of the time on the GM trucks you do NOT need to energize the brown wire when remote starting. Some times it is necessary though I always try it first without and if no lights stay on your good to go.

Can you leave one of the Accy. wires disconnected so the radio doesn't come on? I'm asking because I'm under the impression that the driver's door would need a negative pulse to turn the radio off if the remote start times out.

If i remember the truck right you do need to power the brown wire.  I think it powers something that has to do with the climate controls.  As for your pulsing of the door trigger to shut the radio off you would be correct in that assumption.

not needed... also, the proper data type of bypass module ( XK01, 457G, etc) will shut down the rap circuit for you automatically....
