Does anyone know how or if you can disarm a factory alarm on a 2002 Camaro. My friend has one and he said the factory alarm only gives him a few seconds to put the key in the ignition after he unlocks the doors or the alarm gos off which is a real pain in the @$%.

That sounds odd.  Maybe he can leave his door cracked open to give him more time until he gets the key in the ignition?

Are you saying that when he unlocks/disarms his car with his factory remote, the alarm goes off after a few seconds?  Or does he have an aftermarket starter/alarm installed?

He said that this is a factory alarm system and he just wants to disable some of the features. I told him that I could disarm some of my features in my car by pulling a fuse and doing some other steps so he wants to know if there is something like that on his car that he could do.
