I just picked up a Python 1500 ESP alarm.  Honestly i don't know much about installing alarms but I am confident with electrical work.  I took the alarm out of a 89 mustang so I have a reasonable understanding of how it goes back in my car.  I would appreciate installation directions and a wiring diagram for a 90 mustang gt convertible.  Thanks for the help, This forum rox, great information available!  If you have any other ideas of things I will need for the install or things to be aware of let me know.

I'm apparently new here.  I found the wiring diagram for my car.  Are there any equivalents for my python 1500 esp esp?  such as a Viper 750 esp or something?

You know, if anyone lives in Saramento and wants to come help me install this thing I'd pay.

Here is what i got with the alarm:

  • python 1500 esp box
  • 10 relays, some labeled (radio,gas, lock,unlock) 6 others unlabeled
  • shock sensor
  • xhf antenna
  • horn
  • alarm status light

I need some remotes and a battery back up.  but I think i have enough relays to do a bunch of extra stuff.

so does it matter what controllers I use?  I assume 4 button controllers

Thanks for all the help.  I think I have everything pretty much figured out.  i am reading thru the directions over and over.

I don't have any remotes for this system, will that cause me any problems when I'm installing it?  I know i won't be able to test anything until I get the remotes but can I just unhook the inline fuse to the main unit and not have any problems with say my alarm arming itself or the ignition kill taking affect.

Also is this unit a good one or is it older or what.  I've never delt with alarms before I'm new to them.
