Well just to start it off I'm pretty much a newb when it comes to this so bear with me. I have a '98 Honda Civic HX and I just bought a Clarion VRX633R. I was wondering how I could wire it myself so I don't have to pay $100 to get it installed somewhere else. Also, I read that to do a video bypass you ground the parking brake wire, but does that mean just touch it to metal?

you can easily wire it yourself, the civic comes apart fairly easily, if you have the install instructions read them and get a dash harness for the civic to make wiring easier. for the video bypass just connect the parkign brake wire to where the ground wire is connected.
There are 10 types of people in the world, ones that understand binary and ones that dont.

Try to look on Clarion's website for a user manual download. Print it out and follow their instructions. If you have a factory radio already, you'll need an install kit and wire harness...
