I'm trying to install this magicar alarm on 95' caravan. everything was going fine but now the siren is alwas on (had to disconnect +wire) and I can't start to van with the remote start nor with the key (have to disconnect unit to start with key) . Anybody has any idea what happend or how to reset the unit? Double checked connections and they seem to be correct. I also tried disconnecting the shock sensor and the brake pedal switch, but no change.

Thanks for the help

YEah crappy system.  I've tried to put in quite a number of those things every single one has eitherbeen doa out of the box or died within 3 months of install.  Sorry but you might want to consider getting a better unit if you can.

Would a Scytek Galaxy 5000 be a good unit to consider?

haven't really heard much about them either way.  Maybe someone else has.  As far as the system I've dealt with that are decent would say DEI, Audiovox, and Crimestopper.

OK! I found the problem, the chip inside burned out somehow. Any way I got the new chip installed and it's working fine  for now so I have to keep it for a while.  One more question, I like to set up the anti grind feature, what would be the best and simplest way doing it?

Thanks for the help

Do you want a anti grind so when you put the key and turn that you cann't grind the starter or is it the unit that is grinding the starter.  I have a carvox king eagle,(that I"m taking out) and it would ingage the starter when it was running.  I installed a relay and connected to the starter wire so when the vechical was running it disconnected the starter wire.  Pretty simple really and works well.  Just did that on mine to see if going to work.  Got power from my altenator wire that has power when motor started.

Here is the connection to the relay what I have for starter disable

ignition wire from key to 86

start wire from key to 30

starter wire from unit to 85(-)

starter solenoid to 87A

How do I alter this connection so it will also give me the anti grind feature?

Thanks in advance
