After replacing a bad amp my new system is up and running.I am useing a hifonics brutus bx1205d and 2 kicker 10" L5 dual 4ohm voice coil subwofers in a sealeded boxes. They are wired parallel/parallel for a 1ohm load. I should have more than enough power to drive the speekers well but the system doesn't really hit very hard. What am I doing wrong? My head unit doesn't have a sub output so I just used the rear channel rca preamp outputs and I am using the amps crossover, do I need a seperate crossover befor the amp. I turn to all of you for help beacuse even though I live in Queens NY there doesn't seem to be many places that are very helpfull unless I spend ALOT of money with them.

If you disconnect one of the subs and it gets louder, you have one wired backwards.  Or, if this is an add-on to a factory system, and you used a LOC, unplug one RCA.  Again, if it gets louder, you got one side backwards.

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

well the sub dose better in a ported box that will make it much louder than in a sealed box and you might not be geting the full signal from your deck i dont know if that is true though. your gains might be to low too. and it could be what was methiond above. hope this helpsnew set up -- posted image.
