i bought 1 and broght into the shop to try out the tip looked like it had a hair line crack i tryed it could not get it to do that much, 1 of my other installers came in tryed it and broke the tip. it has set in my box 4 about a year now. great paper weight.

i wish id have seen this 6 months agoCold Heat as seen on TV -- posted image.

it did work the first solder i did. hasnt done a thing since. it does heat the wire and part, but it wont melt the solder.

ya i just posted this subject like last week it that thing horible i returned and told them that they shouldn't be aloud to sell them. the guy said something like i havn't had a complant yet. yes you have me. there where plenty of others that posted too , the same as here. oh well maybe they will perfect it and it will be a useful tool sometime in the future. but right now if you have one like pss5057104 great paper wieght. oh yea they name it was given was cold solder joints ha. that about all its worth.

the whole idea is wrong..how can you generate enough power to heat that tip hot enough to solder with only 4 small batteries like that?  and yes....it is a pos... glad i never bought mine.
