Fujitsu ten says to go with a sealed box.  the one i have is 1.0 cuft.  I guess it will get the job done!

Generally a larger box (within reason) will have more of an emphasis on the lower end, where a smaller box will perform better on the upper end of the sub frequencies.

So there really isn't any advantage to one or the other, it's more a preference.

One thing you might want to consider here is the dispalcement of this woofer. I recall this woofer being pretty large in the magnet and basket area, so that 1.0 cubic box with the displacement of the woofer will certainly drop it below .9 cu. feet.

Well there are programs that allow you to model up speakers. You can dictate box size according to your taste. Winisd is a free program that is available for down load on the net. It will take some time to master it.

I am not sure I follow your statement, but my suggestion to you is to build the largest recommended box, then if dissatisfied with the results, add more wood internally to decrease internal volume.

I just got my Titaniums installed a month or 2 ago, and the box is roughly 4 cubic feet, sealed (woops, 2 titaniums :D).  Without the subs in the box, I think it was 4.26 cu.ft. or something, so it worked out pretty good.
