Whats up everyone?
What is the proper way to install a diode? Dyou cut the wire and splice it in, just peel back the insulation on the wirein two spots andwire the diode in without cutting the wire. I know this is a really silly question but Inever wired in a diode.
Thanks for the help,
Brian

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the quick reply. So my first scenario was correct? For instance, If the door lock wire has to be diode isolated, I would strip the insulation on the door lock wire, connect one end ofthe diode to that wire, then connect the other end of the diode to the wire coming from the alarm module? I know the diode has to be put in a certain direction so the power can flow through it. Just want to double check. Again, thanks for the help.

Brian

like for instance if you have to diode isolate (-) doorpin wires, the cathode side (side with the stripe) goes towards the vehicle wiring

what vehicle are you working on
