I am wanting to install a remote start on a 2005 Ford 6.0 Diesel.  I am looking for what is best for this truck.

I have a viper 791 xv on my 2005 f-350 crew car, long bed lariat.  I can't get the glow plugs to stay on but the installer swears they're heating up.  Maybe there's a better model out there.

There is def a diesel wire on that unit. It can be hooked up to the light in the instrument cluster. Once the glow plug light goes out then the remote start will engage.

I have a 2005 F-250 Crew Cab S/B it is the Amarillo Package if that makes a difference.  I am looking for a remote start and maybe alarm combo.  Wondering what is best for this vehicle.

This is amazing....all of the diesels out there...adding extra parts to a truck you barely have room to stuff the R/S into. People saying that Fords have a hard tach to read, and no way to get to the glow plug wire. Every newer Ford Diesel has a glow plug relay pack under the hood, on the pass. side. Either on the valve cover area or the firewall. It has 3 plugs in it, the wire needed is GREEN / WHITE (middle wire, middle plug) it's posative while the plugs are warming.
