How can I install cooling fan?

wow i miss read that bad. ya do what steve said, cut a round hole the size of the round part of the fan.

I used coat hangers and bent them around to make mounting brackets.

so basically what your saying is that the fan will be protruding off the box one inch? is there any way too flush mount it?

Sure, you can do that.  Cut the hole square to fit the fan and glue it in with adhesive caulk or RTV sealant.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

just woonder what item are you cooling eith this an amp?    have you considered making a plexi or alternitive backing for your amp then mounting the fan to it?
