has anyone worked on the coupe for changing the deck? i was wondering if anything gets affected by pulling out the deck for an after market and if threre are any aftermaket things for instalation like metra for this vehical.

The radio controls are integrated in to the AC controls.  If you remove the radio, you will lose ALL AC functions.

However, the Skyline in Japan (same car, but a Nissan instead of an Infiniti) comes stock with a double din.  You can import the AC circuit board and controls and  sure on that.

Did my roomate's  g35 w/ the japanese skyline a/c controller in the 03's.. But i'm sure the 06's have a double din setup and a sep, a/c controller if i'm not mistaken..  It's a fairly easy swap if you have everything setup prior to pulling the car apart..

I actually haven't seen an 06 yet (makes my 04 seem really old  :( ) but I have not heard of them changing to a double din.  The picture on the Infiniti website shows the same integrated radio they used in the 05s.
