hi all,

i know this question has being asked probably loads of times but i still dont get it.

i have a 1999 mitsubishi lancer evolution 6,the car has a blitz turbo timer on it,the alarm system on the car has a single point immobiliser built into it. what i would like to do is exit the car while leaving the turbo timer let the engine run (no more than 30/40 seconds normally)but to arm the alarm when leaving.

unfortunatly the alarm has none of these passive arming functions or a turbo timer setting. i know i will need to turn current sensing off,this is not a problem as i have direct protection on all door pins/boot and bonnet and ultra sonic inside too.another problem faced with is the alarm needs an ignition (hold off wire for alarm)to energise the immobiliser circuit

can anybody please help me with detailed instructions or even diagrams to help me out of this problem please

i dont want to change the alarm or buy a new turbo timer just wondering is there a way to fool the car/alarm???

not sure that would work. It looks like it needs an ignition input and output from the turbo timer. Most of the ones i have seen use a single ignition wire as input and output.

what alarm do you have?

what make is the timer.

i presume you can't use the timer because the alarm will trigger.

sorry just ween the make there now. i'll try get a wiring daigram for both the timer and alarm and let yu know if something can be done

Try dissconnecting the ignition hot wire from the alarm. The immobilizer should'nt matter if the car is already running.

it will if its on the fuel pump.

also if he disconnects the ignition hot it will affect programming of the alarm and take away the igntion hot trigger. and current sensing is done of the constant 12V+ so that trigger will still be there
