So this is my first post and I am hoping for some help and thanks to any and all who have any thoughts on this. Today my g/f and I put a RS in a 2005 Grand Cherokee 5.7 and at first we were having some troubles with the starting but after rechecking the connections and relays we got it figured out so we thought. A few hours later the guy we put it in for called and said that the traction control light was on as well as the check engine light.  Now after talking with him for a few minutes I was told that the traction control light only comes on when the Jeep is started via the remote start and not when he uses just the key. As for the check engine light I can not think of any reason it would have come on. I checked the remote start numerous times while I was there and nothing. I can only assume that despite me getting the resistance as close as possible maybe it was a little off. Any one have any ideas????

you must have the mux wire hooked up it is stanard in most new bypass modules for chrysler cars and suv's or the problem will occur every time you remote start. disconnect the neg battery term to clear out the codes hope this helps

check your voilet brown

* This wire is both accessory and 2nd start. Ground through 560-ohm on accessory and through 150-ohm resistor during start.

Testing is the key

Because you are missing something when it Remote Starts..........

Check your hook-up again & make sure your Resistors & ByPass Power up when they are supposed to..........

Just had the exact same prob with an 05 grand laredo.  Everything worked fine after using DEI's advice on trying the resistor values for the 300 on their 1084 sheet.  We tried the 560 / 150 or whatever the first time, went with the 300 / 100 from Omega 2nd and last tried the 300's resistor values from their sheet and it worked perfectly.  We had to disconnect the battery to clear the codes each time until the last set of resistors.
