I did the relay trick. I'll let er sit over night and see what happens. Maybe there is a current issue with an idle battery and natural voltage drop from the diode. I was picking up a floating +12V on the bypass input so I did diode isolate it during the original install.
I gave it a test run and the LED on the bypass did glow alot brighter and came on quicker.
I'll let you all know what happens for the records..

1stclass You the man. I made sure it worked and was stable for the last few days. It's starts the first time every time. Even in this -15* highs were getting here.
