I am making a decision between a few different subwoofer brands for my truck in an 8 inch sub. My choices are down to Infinity Reference,JBL Power Series, or Sony Xplod. which makes the best sub, they are all in my price range, about 89-100$ a pair. Thanks

A couple of years ago, I had two 10" Infinity subs in my car. I liked 'em. They hit pretty clean and hit very hard with a limited amount of power. JBL's are good as far as I know but I would steer clear of the Xplods.

JBL and Infinity are probably close to the same- they are both owned by Harmon Kardon.  I agree- steer clear of the xplods.

I'd recommend the Infinitys.  I haven't heard anything but good remarks about them.  For the price they are pretty darn good.  Like everyone else said though...  Stay away from the Xplods.
That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

I'm partial to the Kicker CompVR 8's. You can get new pairs of them off ebay for about $120. Great subs for the money.

i think that the tangband 8's are a good choice too. they hit the lows really well and are cheap for the performance you get out of them.

My shop recently stocked the massive audio 8 inch midbass driver. we sell it for 59.99 and they are good speakers. For the money this speaker is bad ass. the magnet on it looks to be one for a 10 iinch sub real nice, for the money and the quality it's worth taking a look at .

Dude I would recomend image dynamics id8v3 it is by far the best 8 inch sub out there.  I have one in a .9 cube box ported box and it is awesome.  Take my word for it man it is the best.
