Ok, regarding the above I'd say chriswallace187 understands shutdown diagnostics a little better, as well as tach learning at higher RPM. Learned at at 2000 and everything's peachy. And the reason it was showing brake/hoodpin shutdown? Probably because the installer hit the brake to shut the remote start down when it mistakenly thought it had started the car!

The news isn't all bad though; the customer's now apparently having range problems!
