05 accord R/S on OEM

Not something I have done because I don't do add-on remote starts, but I have seen discussions about it. But, this is what I have heard.... You can't cut the ignition input, even with a relay when remote started. It would create other problems.   The keyless entry module is part of the fuse box. The ignition input is actually the main ignition wire.

thanks any way  JWorn the only reason that i think is posible is because the dealer told him they can do it on OEM remote for $900.how own your mind, control your life.

On the new-style Accord, the main wires from the ignition switch (the thick ones) go directly from the ignition switch to the fusebox. If the keyless really is part of the BCM (it most likely is), I can't see any way around it. On my mother's old-style Odyseey, the keyless module was a separate part, and I managed to keep her factory remotes working during remote start----but I only did that because putting the two sliding doors on the aftermarket remote would be hard. On your 2005 Accord, connecting locks/trunk/panic to the aftermarket remote isn't very difficult. It's even easier if you use the HODL2 from bypasskit.com. If I had a new-style Accord, I would just put everything on the aftermarket remote, and go to the dealer and buy a regular key without the buttons on it. Or just carry the valet key around instead.

I just got done working on an Acura TSX.  I was looking over the wiring diagrams for the power window module and it shows that the keyless transmitter feeds directly to the power window module.  The power window module uses a small yellow RAP signal to tell the power window module with the ignition is on.  It may be worth trying to cut this wire.  You can get to it without taking the door off, so thats a bonus, too.  This is relevent because the wiring is almost identical between the Accord and the TSX (although I did find that their door lock actuator wires are different colors!!!)Kevin Pierson
