I am having trouble with a 1997 Cadillac Deville Concours, not bose. It has the trip computer above and the heater controls below. I can't figure out how to remove the shifter trim also.   I am going to be installing an amp, subs, speakers, and making f.g. pods in the rear deck lid. Is there anyone with experience with any of this, the car is very clean and I don't need to do any "learning" on this car as I tend to learn the hard way. Thanks in advance!

Unsnap the bezel around the radio, stick your fingers on the side of the radio, and press the retaining clips, pull it straight out.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Your dash kit will come with instructions on how to remove the factory radio.
