hey guys,

I posted this in the bypass thread but not sure if it will get much attention there.

I have the avic-n2 in my jeep.  I performed the bypass procedure with success.  I got my xm radio (gex-p10xmt) installed about 2 weeks after the bypass. well the first couple of days after the xm install, i notices a pop up in the navi view, rear view, and driver view saying, "XM Updating, Please Wait."  well I pressed OK and it went away briefly and then poped up again.  this happened several times in a matter of seconds.  I finnally got so aggravated that I just put it back in the AV display.  Now about 3 months since the xminstall, I still have the same problem.  I do not think it takes that long for the xm to update.

Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Alan Adams

It's a software glitch.  I am assuming you are not using the traffic portion of the XM service so a quick fix is to unplug the data cable from either the back of the head unit or from the XM box itself.  A permanent fix is to register your product online and they will send you version 1.2 of the software for free.  It fixes this problem
