Difference btw Discus/Reference/Premium?

Hello, well I was just wondering if I'll hear any major difference in MbQuart component speakers that I'll prolly power by JBL amp that will be making 60WattRMS per channel. I wont be running crossovers and I will use just one amp to power the 1 set of MBQuarts (so tweet will get its own channel from the amp). Ok so here is the main question will I hear any major sound difference between Discus/Reference/Premium speakers? I mean the price goes up from lower to higher class but is it really worth the $$$? Alright I'll do that, cuz I have MbQuart Discus in my car right now, they are not component and sound ok. So I guess I'll go a lil higher. Oh by the way, did any one here did or know if its possible to take off the tweeter off of MbQuart Discus (non component speaker) without damaging it.
