It looks like the remote start satellite relay on my 771xv went out. Wondering if this is a common problem?
Here's the scoop. I remote started my car, and now the car doesn't recognize when I turn my car to the ON position to disable the auto-arm. I measured the voltage at the yellow wire on the ribbon cable and it was hovering at 2-3v. Then I jumped a wire directly onto the ribbon cable from the ignition and now it works fine. I know I have a good tap on the igntion because the wire is capable of sustaining the engine running when I remote start. I guess I can live with this but looks like something broke in the relay harness. Since the heavy gauge wires are direct attached to the unit, replacing the thing will be a pain in the ass given that I've got a very nice install with soldered wires.
So, anyone else have this problem before?
