just need to know what setup i need, to get my second alarm remote to work. my 'regular use' remote ran out of battery one day, so i tried using the second one & wouldn't work. had to take the battery & put in the 'regular use' remote to disarm my alarm. is there some sort of setup that i need to do first to get the second remote to work?

car: '03 mitsubishi lancer

alarm: alpine sec-100s

with car disarmed turn ignition on while pressing your valet momentary button 3-5 times then the l.e.d. on your dash will start to flash quickly, then press the blue buttom on each remote one after the other, this will learn them both. after your done let go of the button and take the key out of the ignition and try the system with each remote.
