Alrite I have a 98 expedition. I have 0 gauge wiring for my memphis mojo amp(2,000wrms). I have a 200amp HO alternator. I was wanting to know if i should keep my stock battery under the hood and add 2 more yellow top optima batteries in the back or put 1 yellow top under the hood getting rid of the stock battery and put the second yellow top in the back. I appreciate any suggestions, Thankyou

Are you planning on listening to music with the car off for long periods of time?

If you don't listen to your stereo often with the car off, just one quality battery under the hood will do great.  Don't get jsut stuck on optima's too, they make great batteries, but you can get an Exide orbital extreme for alot cheaper and its the same quality, also you could look into the new Kinetik batteries everyone is talking about.

I never listen to my system with my car off, i always have it on. I posted about how many and what batteries i should have about 3 months ago before i was planning my system.  I recieved replies saying that i needed a bigger ho alternator(around 230amps) and that i needed around 3 batteries. I will probably end up going with 2 yellow tops.Thankyou
