Hey all-

I just bought a car that has an additional battery to supply power to the subwoofer amp.  Right now, that battery is in the trunk with the other components.  Someone told me that the battery should be under the hood.  Does it matter?

Thanks

Has that person ever looked under a hood.... two batteries would be a tight fit for mine.... unless he is saying that you just have a regular battery in your trunk. To have a second battery it should be dry cell/gel cell. An example is the optima yellow top. You should also have an isolator(an example for this is a stinger SR200). This is what I have and the only problem i've had is the battery wasnt secure enough and it came lose and and a wire got pulled out(an example is I drive poorly!). I hope this helps.
