I installed a Viper 160xv RS/Keyless in this vehicle last night and it worked like a champ. Pulled the negative battery terminal for the night, came back reconnected it this morning, went to start it with the key (before attempting to RS) and it wouldn't start. It cranks, but the engine does not start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The Security light does not flash. It comes on and turns off as with a normal start.

What bypass module did you use for the RS ? Chances are the module is not programmed properly or youhave a defective module. Had this happen to an '05 as well last week and I replaced the module and it worked for the customer without any problems.

The 555L that I used worked great last night. I now have it unhooked and have the vehicle's resistance wires directly connected and the vehicle will not start with the key.

I heard with the equinox, the 555l does not work. Something about the resistance. So you can do two things. Build your own l box or try to find a 556l. The newer version of the l bypass.

I didn't have a problem with it working last night. Programmed right up, learned tach and RS'd perfect. I still needed to connect the doorlocks, so I took the neg terminal off to do that. left it overnight. Connected it back this morning and tried to start the car with the key, just to make sure tach was still cool... no startie.

most Passlock II systems will RS within a minute after being started with the key whether the bypass is correct or not.  You can RS a passlock II vehicle without a bypass as long as you do it within 30 seconds of starting it with the key.
