Hi There,

I have a 1993 R33 Skyline GTS25T and I'm installing an alarm for it. I understand that in order to have keyless entry, an actuator is needed at the driver's side. I have already installed the actuator. Are there existing wires that I can tap into in the driver's door to connect the actuator, or do I need to run wires back into the cabin and install a relay controller?

Thanks.

Henry

You are correct , you need to run two new wires from the actuator to two relays that will lock and unlock the actuator. Wire the relays according to this diagram: https://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp#arp

Thanks Jeff. Is it difficult to pass the new wires from the door into the cabin? The original rubber wiring sheath between the door and the cabin looks pretty tight.

Yes, it really hard because most vehicles doors won't open any more than the pin will allow. Take the pin out of the door that keeps the door from opening more ( but becareful that the door doesn't open too much or it will open right into the front fender ). After you remove the door boot and run your new wires through, take a mild soap and water solution and spray it onto the rubber boot and the hole in the door. THis will allow the boot to be reinstalled with ease.

Hi Jeff,

It's all done! It turned out that I didn't have to remove the pin, as there was just enough room to undo the plug on the cabin side and the rubber boot on the door side.

Cheers.
