Hey guys i have a chance go get the Pioneer Avic N2 for about $900 after Pioneer's rebate. My question is, is pioneer going to release something utterly new and improved for the 2006? I work in the car audio department and I know the 2006 models are just arround the corner. Ive seen the N2 work in action and all but what is your views on it honestly? To be honest, the GPS seems kinda harder to work vs a Garmin C330 or a Tom Tom but, its pioneer, they make radio's, they dont specialize in making GPS units. Any Help would be great, I currently have a stack of equipment in my room that i am throwing in my mustang gt in july.. So i got some time.. But if this is a great deal in which i dont need to pass up, i'll buy it!

You are planning your stereo install 7 months out?
Whoa talk about 'patience' ...
Anywho, I dunno about the Pioneer, but generally, when the new models come out, existings ones are dumped at like 40% of MSRP.. I'd wait till July dude, if you work in a car stereo department you know you'll burn your cash buying now.. especially with gear like that.... 'good' deal today or not..
Freakin LCD screens are dropping like 1/3 every couple of quarters and that's just for big buyers like Dell or whatever.. imagine how cheap that Pioneer will get..

Pioneer is planning a release of their new all in one in-dash, the AVIC-Z1 in spring of '06.
Check it out here!
