Just wondering if anyone has any input on if this is a good starter to buy or not?also looking at buying the asianwolf fm2009 2.0.Are these any good?are they fairly easy to install?I'm buying a starter for the first time and have $140 to spend so any ideas on a quality starter that is easy to install and reliable would be very helpful.I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty manual transmission. There are so many different styles and brands and prices I really don't know where to start. Thanks guys.

My previous alarm was an Asianwolf FM2009.  It worked pretty well but for some reason it totally loses its remote range when the weather gets cold.  ...to the point where I have to hold the remote up to the glass to disarm the alarm.  Not sure if that was an isolated case or not though.  Worked excellently during the summer.

well for one it is illeagle to install a remote start on a manual transmission car and two its very unsafe. Stick with just an alarm/keyless entry i own the astra 777 off asian wolf and have never had a problem with it

It may be illegal in some places, I don't know, but haven't heard of that here in Canada.  That being said, you must install a unit that is designed for the application. i.e. Manual Trans.  These units, when installed properly are no threat to anybody.

The FM2009 is NOT designed for manual transmissions so NO it is not a good choice for your application. Please notice the disclaimer on the site with that unit "WILL IT WORK WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION? .....YOUR INSTALLER SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO IT FOR YOU BUT IT IS DANGEROUS AS YOUR VEHICLE CAN BECOME A SELF PROPELLED THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY. ASIANWOLF.COM ASSUMES NO LIABILITY IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO THIS."
I've seen a few units on Ebay that are the same product with a different name that have the safety setup for manual transmission vehicles.
These units are Manual safe and have Start/keyless/alarm

Also the AIR WOLF ULTIMATE 20099 on that Asianwolf site has the manual safe capability.
If you don't want the alarm portion then this unit is even cheaper.

The Air Wolf 20099 is a great alarm system. I installed it on one of my clients vehicles and it worked like a charm. With its integrated safety features for a manual transmission, you just can't go wrong with it. I purchased this alarm directly from asianwolf.com and received a couple of days after. Its a really good alarm! Highly recommanded at asianwolf. you can't beat their prices...
