I was told by someone that all I needed to add remote entry to my 2001 Toyota Corolla with power door locks is to purchase a Toyota Factory Keyless Entry Remote. Is this all I need to get to have keyless entry on my car or is there more to this than just buying a remote?

While it just may be true, i would tend to think that there's more to it than that.

Sounds crazy to me, you would think the car would come with the transmitters if the car was equipped with a keyless entry module.  But if it works then "you learn something new everyday", even though it doesn't make any logical sense.
