Im considering either getting some jl Xr 6 1/2 components or the Infinity Kappa Perfect components in my 00 ext cab s-10 but will prob be running the jl 300/4 either way. I listening to rap, rock, and country most of the time but want something with a clean output at higher volumes with good midbass. I am open to any advice or comments

I have listened to both the kappa perferct and the JL Xrz. I am a JL installer and the 300/4 is an amazing 4 ch. amp. the XR is the perfectly matched speaker setupo for that amp.

Both componet sets are absolutely outstanding choices... the tonality of the two is fairly simaler, I think you'd be happy with either..
If you are getting the 300/4, why not do JL for the highs to eh? That'd be my choice if I were you.. (and, to be honest, I think the XR is the slightly better speaker)

I think i will go with the xr's but i've heard its incredible when they are biamped with a active crossover. I was looking at some of the audio control crossovers but i am not real fimaliar with them and would take any advice about this

The xr series coaxial is already bi-ampable with the passive xover that comes with it...
You can run 2-channels of the 300/4 to the tweets, and the others to the mids, through the included passive... you just have to set the HP for the midbass...
If you want, try the 450/4... one of those will cost you less than a 300/4 and an AudioControl box, and you can directly bi-wire them as the 150x2 channels have a band-pass xover built in..
