I am trying to finish the alarm install in my 01 camaro.  I have dei fax 1052, about using the 2 relays, but i heard that it is easier to use a 451m.  How exactly do i do this?

the wires on the car are:

lock= RED / black

driver unlock=tan

pass. unlock=gray/black

what wires on the 451m do i use?

thanks

put the purple wire to 12v constant......there is a 3 pin harness......cut the small green wire and put the green wire coming out of the 3 pin harness to the RED / black in car..............then put the other part of the green wire (the side going to the 451m) on the small blue wire.  then wire the blue/black and GREEN/ black out of the 451m to either the tan or grey/black

Or if the system that u are installing has a 2nd unlock output u can put that wire to the green wire going to the 451m.....and then put the greeen/black out of the 451m to the grey/black and the blue black out of the 451m to the tan.

get it?  let me know if it is not clear.

Where theres is a wire there's a way.

so far it makes sense.  I am sure that i will have some more questions when i get home, and actually take everything back apart and look at it

reading the dei fax.
it says
WHITE/ black to lock switch
GREEN/ black to lock motor
BROWN / black to unlock switch
blue/black to unlock motor
and purple to 12v.
My questions with this is, should i connect both the driver side (tan wire) and the passanger side (gray/black) to the BROWN / black and blue/black of the 451m??
And should i connect the factory lock (RED / black) to the 451m's GREEN/ black and WHITE/ black?
also, should i just plug the little blue/RED / green harness into the alarm brain? Do i need to cut any of them?? The install manual for the alarm says red is only needed if using the 451m?
also, what is the best way to "wake up" the BCM?
