Can someone please help. I have had heaps of trouble with the original alarm system in my 1995 Discovery so opted to install an aftermarket alarm. It all works fine but how do i disconnect the factory alarm as the factory immobiliser passively arms and i therefore need to carry two remotes with me. One to disarm the aftermarket alarm and one to disarm the factory system.

does your system arm and disarm with the key in the drivers door if so there is a small microswitch in the handle which i am currenty waiting to see what colour the are in the kick panel this will disarm the factory when the two wires ar touched together and disarm when taken apart i will let you know as soon as i get the colours
did you do the alarm if so how did you get on with the locking. a friend of mine has one and said he can't the the locking done i haven't seen it myself but would appreciate it if you could let me know how you done it. he will forward me the colours later and i will post them
Why oh Why didn't i take the blue pill
