Question? I have a 2000 mustang Saleen, and I can't locate the door pin wire. Actually there isn't even a door pin. So if someone could help me locate this little guy would be greatly appreciated. I took my alarm out and tested every thing again and I think I tapped into the wrong wire. There  are two wires that control the dome light from the drivers side door, a yellow/black which stays on(+) all of the time and then a black negative. I tapped into the yellow/black wire that trips the door pin trigger alarm. It worked fine but after 30 min on the dot  my alarm would go off. So I disconnected it and armed it, disarmed it etc. and no false alarm. So I must of tapped into the wrong wire.I have an alpine 7080L which has a +/- door trigger output.

Help!!!!!Thank You

Check this wire, it is on the 2000 reg. mustang. You might have the same wire though. Would not hurt to check.

You could also forget the door pin.  Check the forum ahead of yours.  A problem is listed about the EXACT same thing your having a problem w/.  You could also connect directlly to the dome light, or the "DOOR AJAR" light in you dash which illuminates w/ the door oppening.
